Nördlingen è una città tedesca di 19.268 abitanti, situato nel land della Baviera ed appartenente al circondario del Danubio-Ries.
“Nordilinga” venne menzionata in un documento come una “corte reale” nell'898. Nel 1998 Nördlingen festeggia il suo millecentesimo anniversario. La cittadina conserva un impianto medievale con mura e fortificazioni ben conservate. Il centro storico è recintato da mura che sono percorribili a piedi nel cammino di guardia.
