Pleinfeld è un comune mercato tedesco di 7.500 abitanti, situato nel land della Baviera. Il villaggio si trova sul Brombachsee Grande, oltre a Gunzenhausen la principale destinazione turistica del Lago di Franconia District, ed è la città più grande della Brombachsee Grande. Visto da nord Pleinfeld è considerata la porta d'ingresso al parco nazionale Altmühltal. Pleinfeld scorre attraverso il Rezat sveva. Nel villaggio ci sono 11 vigili del fuoco e 80 club. La città sorella è a Killarney, nella contea di Kerry in Irlanda. Pleinfeld è il quarto paese più grande del Circondario di Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen
