Ostrhauderfehn è un comune nel distretto di Leer in Ostfrisia. Il centro amministrativo del comune è l'omonima frazione. Il nome del comune deriva dalla colonizzazione del moosiforme avvenuta nel 1769 con lo stesso nome, che a sua volta prende il nome dal vecchio villaggio di Geest Rhaude a nord-ovest del comune limitrofo di Rhauderfehn. L'aggettivo è Ostrhauderfehntjer con il diminutivo -je tipico del basso tedesco orientale.
