Höxter è una città di medie dimensioni con quasi 30.000 abitanti nella Renania Settentrionale-Vestfalia ed è il capoluogo del distretto di Höxter, che appartiene al distretto governativo di Detmold. Höxter è sede dell'Università Tecnica OWL.
