Groß Schönebeck è dal 2003 una frazione del comune non soggetto a supervisione di Schorfheide nel distretto di Barnim in Brandeburgo. Come villaggio autonomo è nato nel 13°/14° secolo.
Il luogo si trova 12 chilometri a nord-ovest di Finowfurt, sede dell'amministrazione comunale, e 20 chilometri a nord-ovest di Eberswalde, sede dell'amministrazione del distretto. Nel territorio di Groß Schönebeck si trovano la frazione Böhmerheide, le parti abitate del comune Döllner Heide, Sarnow e Sperlingsaue, così come i seguenti insediamenti: Altlotzin, Döllner Siedlung, Eichheide, Gardix, Grahsee, Klein Dölln, Rehluch e Wildfang.
