La riserva naturale Buckowseerinne si trova nel territorio del comune di Schorfheide nel distretto di Barnim a Brandeburgo. Si trova all'interno della riserva della biosfera di Schorfheide-Chorin, che misura 1291 km².
L'area con il numero identificativo 1450 è stata protetta da una normativa del 24 maggio 2004. La riserva naturale di 511 ha con il Grande Buckowsee si estende a nord-ovest del centro di Eberswalde. Sul lato occidentale si snoda l'A 11, attraverso l'area passa la strada statale L 238 e a est la L 23. A sud-ovest si estende il lago Üdersee di 73,5 ha e a nord-ovest il lago Werbellinsee di 765 ha.
