L'Ermita di Maristella è stata precedentemente conosciuta con il nome di Ermita del Carmelo. È un edificio relativamente moderno, della fine del XIX secolo. In particolare, l'inizio dei lavori risale all'anno 1890, quando la congregazione dei frati terziari carmelitani accettò la donazione fatta dalla signora di Son Ferrà, Dª Margalida Rosselló Ferrà. Attualmente l'ermita appartiene alla Parrocchia di Sant Pietro di Esporles.
