Cinderford è una città e una parrocchia civile ai margini orientali della Foresta di Dean nel Gloucestershire, Inghilterra, che aveva una popolazione di 8.494 al censimento del 2011.
La città è nata nel XIX secolo, a seguito della rapida espansione delle fonderie di Cinderford e del bacino carbonifero della Foresta di Dean. Le origini di Cinderford si possono vedere nello stile e nella disposizione della città, con lunghe file di case a schiera identiche simili a quelle che si trovano nei villaggi minerari delle Valli del Sud del Galles. Il declino dell'industria del carbone negli anni '50 e '60 ha influenzato Cinderford poiché la maggior parte della popolazione maschile era impiegata nelle miniere.
