Alne è un villaggio e una parrocchia civile nel distretto di Hambleton, nel North Yorkshire, Inghilterra, a circa dodici miglia a nord-ovest di York e quattro miglia da Easingwold. La parrocchia ha una popolazione di 711, aumentando a 756 al censimento del 2011.
Il villaggio è menzionato nel Domesday Book come parte del Bulford Hundred ed era di proprietà della chiesa di San Pietro, York. Il nome potrebbe derivare dalla parola latina Alnus per Ontano, poiché il villaggio era circondato da questi alberi. Il nome potrebbe anche derivare da un fiume di tipo Alaunā, derivato dal brittonico al-, "brillante, lucente". Questo potrebbe essere stato un nome alternativo per il fiume Kyle.
