L'Abbazia di Lindisfarne è stata un complesso monastico, oggi in rovina, eretto sull'isola britannica di Lindisfarne da sant'Aidan.
Il monaco fu mandato dall'isola delle Ebridi interne di Iona alla Northumbria su richiesta di re Osvaldo, attorno al 635. Questa regione divenne la base dell'evangelizzazione dell'Inghilterra settentrionale e ebbe anche successo nell'inviare una missione apostolica nella Mercia. I monaci delle comunità di Iona si installarono nell'isola. Il santo patrono della Northumbria, Cuthbert, fu monaco e poi abate del monastero. La sua vita e i suoi miracoli sono ricordati da Beda il Venerabile. Cuthbert divenne poi vescovo di Lindisfarne. Furono monaci a Lindisfarne anche sant'Ywi e san Colomano.
