Fort Elson era uno dei primi Forti Palmerston, a Gosport, in Inghilterra, il fortino poligonale terrestre più a nord nella linea di difesa a ovest di Gosport. Era situato su un terreno immediatamente a sud di Elson Creek, con il quale era collegato tramite un canale. Fort Elson era il fortino più a nord nella linea di cinque che facevano parte delle ‘Difese della Sea Front e Spithead’, Linea Interna, Frontale Terrestre, Fiancheggiamento Sinistro.
