Gerace è un comune italiano di 2 404 abitanti della città metropolitana di Reggio Calabria in Calabria. Si trova nel Parco nazionale dell'Aspromonte, il centro storico conserva un'impostazione medievale.
La città è posta su una rupe, a 500 m s.l.m., di arenarie mioceniche all'estremità sud-est del lungo tavolato che congiunge le Serre all'Aspromonte non lontano dalla costa jonica. L'intero territorio comunale risulta suddiviso in cinque zone urbane:
