Claviere è un comune italiano di 198 abitanti della città metropolitana di Torino in Piemonte. Si trova in Alta Val di Susa a 1760 metri di quota, sul versante italiano del colle del Monginevro, a circa 94 chilometri a ovest dal capoluogo. Anticamente era denominato Mons Janus.
L'abitato sorge al margine orientale dell'ampio pianoro del Colle del Monginevro, sulla linea del confine italo-francese.
