L'acquedotto di Barga è una struttura tutta in pietra con una serie di bellissimi portici. Aveva una funzione molto importante, se non essenziale: l'approvvigionamento idrico dei pozzi nel centro della città. La prima fontana di questo oleodotto fu costruita nel 1501 ed era in grado di trasportare l'acqua dalla sorgente di Rupina al castello di Barga.
Oggi potete vederlo da vicino facendo una passeggiata nel Parco Fratelli Kennedy, situato nel fossato dove un tempo sorgeva l'antico borgo medievale. Tutto intorno è anche molto suggestivo vedere le tante villette che sono state costruite e che danno un senso di unità tra antichità e modernità.
