La Kop van Zuid è un nuovo quartiere di Rotterdam, situato sulla riva sud del Nieuwe Maas di fronte al centro della città. Il quartiere è composto dal Wilhelminapier e dal V delimitato dalla Rosestraat / linea ferroviaria Rotterdam-Dordrecht da un lato e dall'Hilledijk / Hillestraat / Rijnhaven dall'altro.
La Kop van Zuid è e sarà costruita su ex aree portuali dismesse intorno al Binnenhaven, Entrepothaven, Rijnhaven, Spoorweghaven e Wilhelminapier. Queste aree portuali, insieme al Nieuwe Maas, hanno creato una grande distanza fisica tra il centro a nord del Maas e Rotterdam-Zuid. Trasformando quest'area in un'area urbana e creando buoni collegamenti, si cerca di unire Nord e Sud.
