"Solo il punto di partenza di questa passeggiata vale la pena: Fort Sint-Pieter a Maastricht, una fortezza costruita nel 1701 e con una funzione militare fino al 1867. Oggi è un'attrazione turistica. Passeggi lungo la cava ENCI. Poco oltre il confine belgo-olandese si trova D’n Observant, una collina artificiale alta 170 metri sull'altopiano di Sint-Pietersberg. A pochi chilometri più in là entri nella parte walone del paese. È meglio indossare scarpe solide per questa impegnativa passeggiata attraverso tre province."
