La battaglia del Granico, nel maggio del 334 a.C., fu la prima grande vittoria di Alessandro Magno contro l'Impero Persiano. Svoltasi nell'Asia nord-occidentale, vicino Troia, Alessandro riuscì a sconfiggere le forze dei satrapi persiani dell'Asia minore.
La stima del numero dei combattenti, secondo le varie fonti, ammontava a una cifra tra i 30.000 e i 35.000 uomini per i Macedoni e tra i 25.000 e i 32.000 uomini per i Persiani.
