Manhattanhenge, chiamato anche inaccuratamente il Solstizio di Manhattan, è un evento durante il quale il sole calante o il sole sorgente è allineato con le strade orientate a est-ovest della rete stradale principale di Manhattan. I tramonti e le albe si allineano due volte all'anno, in date equidistanti attorno al solstizio estivo e al solstizio invernale. Gli allineamenti del tramonto si verificano intorno al 28 maggio e al 13 luglio. Gli allineamenti dell'alba si verificano intorno al 5 dicembre e all 8 gennaio. Ottimi luoghi per osservare Manhattanhenge sono le strade 14, 23, 34, 42 e 57.
