Orp-Jauche is een gemeente in het oosten van de provincie Waals-Brabant in België. De gemeente telt ruim 8.000 inwoners en ligt op een hoogte van 70 meter.
Langs de flanken van de vallei van de Kleine Gete en enkele zijlopen dagzomen vuursteenhoudende krijt- en mergelafzettingen. Reeds vanaf het paleolithicum werden er vuursteenknollen bewerkt, maar van een grootschalige ontginning was pas sprake vanaf het neolithicum.
