Recht is een deelgemeente van Sankt Vith en ligt in het Duitstalig deel van België. Bijna iedereen is er tweetalig en spreekt er naast Duits ook Frans.
Recht werd voor het eerst vermeld in 670 in een oorkonde van de Abdij van Stavelot onder de naam Refta.
