In 2014 namen internationale sterren van de street art Charleroi in om deel te nemen aan de eerste urban art biënnale “Asphalte”. Dit project, een initiatief van BPS22, het centrum voor hedendaagse creaties, omvat elf monumentale
muurschilderingen in het stadscentrum en tientallen andere kleinere realisaties. De meeste muurschilderingenzijn nog altijd te bezichtigen.
