De 'Engelbamp' is een historische wegtracé en holle weg. Deze weg komt voor op historische kaarten uit de 17de eeuw, maar stamt vermoedelijk uit de vroege middeleeuwen. Het zou aangelegd zijn in de vroege middeleeuwen in het verlengde van een Romeinse weg van Hoei over Landen-Velm en Sint-Truiden. Langs dit tracé vestigde de abdij van Sint-Truiden haar buitenverblijf en hoeve Nieuwenhoven. Hier vind je ook een uitkijkpunt boven op de schouder van de holle weg waar je de skyline van Sint-Truiden kan bewonderen.
