Eschwege is een stad in het noordoosten van de Duitse deelstaat Hessen. Het is de Kreisstadt van de Werra-Meißner-Kreis. De stad telt 19.606 inwoners en ligt aan de Werra, niet ver ten westen van het geografisch middelpunt van Duitsland.
Van 1952 tot 1990 liep hier het IJzeren Gordijn, de grens tussen West-Duitsland en het communistische Oost-Duitsland.
