Garath is een wijk in Düsseldorf in het zuiden van het stadsgebied, die behoort tot stadsdistrict 10, met een oppervlakte van 3,27 vierkante kilometer en die eind december 2016 ongeveer 19.050 inwoners telde. Van 1956–1957 ontwierp de stadsplanner Friedrich Tamms de nieuwe wijk Düsseldorf. De grote woonwijk "Woonstad Garath" – met 8.000 woningen voor meer dan 30.000 inwoners het tot op heden grootste aaneengeschakelde bouwproject van Düsseldorf – werd uiteindelijk tussen 1961 en 1972 gebouwd. De wijk is vernoemd naar het kasteel Garath, dat aan de zuidoostzijde ligt.
