De Externsteine zijn een opvallende zandstenen rotsformatie in het Teutoburgerwoud en als zodanig een buitengewone natuurlijke attractie in Duitsland, dat een beschermd natuur- en cultuurmonument is. De rotsen zijn omgeven door de Wiembecketeich en een parkachtig gebied. De Externsteine zijn gelegen in het gebied van de stad Horn-Bad Meinberg in het district Lippe in Noord-Rijnland-Westfalen.
