Voor de State Garden Show 2003 werd het gebied achter de St. Antoniuskerk en Bruno Kleine ontworpen. Op het voormalige terrein van spinnerij Van Delden hebben stedenbouwkundigen het Gronau Island Park aangelegd. Er zijn kanalen aangelegd en er zijn losse eilandjes aangelegd, die elk een eigen ontwerp hebben gekregen. Op de tuin en het watereiland zijn er verschillende uitgaansmogelijkheden, allemaal in de buurt en gescheiden door romantische waterlopen.
