Thonon-les-Bains is een gemeente in het Franse departement Haute-Savoie . De gemeente telde 35.826 inwoners op 1 januari 2019. De plaats maakt deel uit van het arrondissement Thonon-les-Bains.
Uit opgravingen blijkt dat er tussen de 1e en de 5e een Gallo-Romeinse nederzetting was in Thonon. Het was een regionaal belangrijke vicus, met verschillende pottenbakkersovens. De stad ontwikkelde zich langs het meer en had een vissershaven. In 1860 kwam de stad samen met dit deel van Savoye definitief bij Frankrijk. In 1880 werd het spoorwegstation geopend en twee jaar later werd de spoorlijn verlengd tot in Évian. Vanaf 1885 ontwikkelde Thonon zich als een kuuroord en in 1890 werd de naam Thonon-les-Bains aangenomen. Er werden hotels, een casino en villa's gebouwd voor de kuurgasten.
