Cold Ash Quarry is een 0,4 hectare groot geologisch gebied van bijzonder wetenschappelijk belang ten noorden van Newbury in Berkshire. Het is een locatie voor de Geologische Behoudsbeoordeling.
De mijn is uniek in Groot-Brittannië vanwege de verzameling van fossiele planten en insecten die voorkomen in een laag silt en klei binnen de Reading Beds. De fossielen dateren uit ongeveer 60 miljoen jaar geleden. De fossiele flora bestaat uit goed bewaarde bladeren van bedektzadige planten, en in sommige van deze fossielen zijn er aanwijzingen voor de activiteit van hedendaagse bladmineerinsecten. Dit is de enige locatie in Groot-Brittannië waar de activiteit van fossiele bladmineerders is ontdekt.
