Pietrapertosa is een gemeente in de Italiaanse provincie Potenza en telt 1252 inwoners . De oppervlakte bedraagt 67,3 km², de bevolkingsdichtheid is 20 inwoners per km².
Pietrapertosa telt ongeveer 524 huishoudens. Het aantal inwoners daalde in de periode 1991-2001 met 9,3% volgens cijfers uit de tienjaarlijkse volkstellingen van ISTAT. In juni 2009 overleed er Lucia Lauria Vigna, de oudste inwoner van Europa.
