De tempel van Minverva en de kerk van Santa Maria sopra Minerva bevinden zich op het Piazza del Comune. In 1539 werd de tempel omgebouwd tot een kerk. De huidige barokke aanblik is het resultaat van een verbouwing in de 17e eeuw. Van de tempel is enkel de zeer goed bewaarde gebleven façade - zes korintische zuilen en een timpaan - nog te zien. Ze is gebouwd door de quatorviri (magistraten die met de aanleg van wegen belast waren) Gneo Cesio en Tito Cesio Prisco
