VOLTERRA is een prachtig Toscaans stadje, gesticht door de Etrusken, gelegen op een heuvel, wat dacht je wel... Vrij toeristisch ja, maar niet onterecht. Met je fiets aan het Romeins Theater passeren, bezorgt een voldaan gevoel. Volterra is ook de stad van de albast, maar dat zal je wel merken als je even door de smalle straatjes kuiert! SAN GIMIGNANO is zowaar nog toeristischer, want niemand wil de aanblik van de 14 stadstorens missen! De tocht zelf is lang, lastig (veel op en af), maar een must!
