Els tungres foren un poble germànic que tenia per capital Atuatuca, Atuatuca Tungrorum en llatí . Una altra ciutat seva fou Agrippina , de la qual en queden algunes restes de l'època romana.
Els tungres van creuar el Rin i van expulsar els gals per a ocupar el lloc dels eburons, als quals Cèsar afirmà haver exterminat durant la Guerra de les Gàl·lies. Tàcit els situa a prop dels nervis. El territori dels tungres fou després un bisbat, a tocar del de Reims.
