La Porta Blava és l' única que queda de set portes d'entrada al voltant del recinte del castell d'Ooidonk. També s'anomena "Porta arboreti" .
La porta data del voltant de 1595 però es diu que l'estructura actual data del 1864 . El pis de les golfes de la porta d'entrada solia servir com a torre de coloms.
Tenir coloms era un privilegi. Els coloms es menjaven el gra, de manera que el seu nombre era limitat. Només el ciutadà acomodat tenia dret a tenir coloms. Els colomars d'abans són autèntics edificis.
