Sobre aquesta pedra monolítica, d'1,5 m d'alçada, hi ha una placa commemorativa amb les fotos i els noms dels presoners de guerra del municipi de Sugny l'any 1940, així com una reproducció de la columna del congrés. La pedra es va aixecar després de 1945.
Cada any, els dies 8 de maig i 11 de novembre , després de la missa commemorativa, davant d'aquest monument es fa un homenatge als veterans.
Es sonen els himnes nacionals belgues i francesos i s'hissen les banderes belgues i franceses.
