Arbúcies és una vila i municipi de la comarca de la Selva. Se situa al fons d'una vall entre el Montseny i les Guilleries, per on s'escola la riera d'Arbúcies. Antigament, els seus habitants estaven dedicats sobretot a l'aprofitament dels recursos naturals de l'entorn, on dominen els boscos d'alzina, surera, castanyer, roure i faig. En l'actualitat, el poble viu de les empreses carrosseres i del comerç.
