El rector Mateu Togores va manar la construcció a l'escultor Bartomeu Amorós del Cor de Jesus, que fou inaugurat el 21 de juliol de 1940. Constitueix un monument de grans dimensions que representa la figura de Jesus amb els braços oberts. El pilar de pedra que el subjecte l'estatua del crist porta inscrit: “Sagrat Cor de Jesús el poble d'Esporles confia amb vos”. Des d'aquest indret es pot gaudir d'unes increibles vistes del poble d'Esporles.
