Va ser dissenyat l'any 1925 per José Espiau Muñoz i construït per a la casa del teixidor Pedro Roldán.
Espiau torna a mostrar la seva faceta d'arquitectura espectacular, convertint-lo potser en un dels edificis regionalistes més fotografiats pels turistes que ens visiten. Com a l'Adriàtica, recorre a un mirador per destacar l'edifici, en aquest cas un mirador octogonal d'inspiració gòtica. Segons Alberto Villar Movellán, l'edifici té una clara inspiració italiana. La cúpula del mirador recorda la cúpula de Bruneleschi per al Duomo florentí , mentre que els grans finestrals estan modelats a la lògia veneciana . Els visitants dels grans magatzems Pedro Roldán necessitaven una il·luminació òptima i per això Espiau va apostar per aquesta configuració amb grans finestrals, sense renunciar a l'estètica dels arcs.
