La carretera de Baglung a Jharkot està indicada per Dangerousroads.org.
Sobretot als voltants de Tatopani, on el congost és molt estret, s'han hagut de dinamitar roques per construir la carretera. La carretera es va construir a principis dels anys 2000 i es va millorar (llegiu: ampliada) el 2010.
Va ser construït per l'exèrcit.
Fins que hi havia la carretera, tot s'havia de transportar a peu i amb rucs , des de Baglung fins a Muktinath. En aquella època, el trekking per aquesta vall era molt agradable i relaxant. La caminada Kali Gandaki solia ser una de les excursions més celebrades del món.
