Den gamle fæstning af Prins-Abbedderne af Stavelot, tilholdssted for den frygtelige "Svin fra Ardennerne", blev den 1. maj 1521 ødelagt af kejser Karl V's tropper. Vigtige arkæologiske udgravninger og igangværende restaureringsarbejde støttet af Ministeriet for den Vallonske Region.
Familieskattejagt hver dag fra slottets åbning, leg for at finde skatten fra Gatte d'Or kortskatten.
Besøg af slottet juli og august: Hver dag fra kl. 11 til 18 (Lukning af stedet kl. 18:30.) fra 1. april til 12. november Hver dag fra kl. 13 til 17.
