Ratzeburg er en lille by i Schleswig-Holstein, nær grænsen til Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Ratzeburg er administrationsbyen i Kreis Herzogtum Lauenburg. Den er kendt som en luftkurby og på grund af placeringen af sin gamle by midt i Ratzeburger Sø og dens forbindelse til fastlandet, der kun løber over tre diger, også en "øby". Udover gamle by øen inkluderer byområdet også St. Georgsberg, Vorstadt og Dermin.
Ratzeburg ligger i Lauenburgische Seen naturpark. De nærmeste større byer er Lübeck, Hamburg og Schwerin. Ratzeburg er en del af metropolregionen Hamburg.
