Den markerede vandresti nr. 6 er perfekt til en lang udflugt. For motivationen er det bedst at starte med en forfriskende runde i Kneipp-fodbadet bag Thermal-Solbad Salzgitter-Bad. Herefter fører mark- og skovveje gennem Südholz til Straute mod Liebenburg. Ved det lokale skovhus er der interessante informationstavler om fauna og flora. På vej tilbage mod Salzgitter-Bad går man øst for golfbanen. Man kan på travle dage observere mange sportsudøvere i deres aktiviteter her.
