Desford er en landsby og civil parish i Hinckley og Bosworth distriktet, 7 miles vest for centrum af Leicester og omkring 7 miles nordøst for Hinckley. Beliggende på en bakke cirka 400 fod over havets overflade, inkluderer parishen landsbyerne Botcheston og Newtown Unthank samt et spredt bosættelse ved Lindridge. Befolkningen ved folketællingen i 2011 var steget til 3.930. Desford er nævnt i Domesday Book fra 1086, men navnet i sig selv er ældre end det og betyder Deor's Ford, hvilket antyder en angelsaksisk oprindelse. En anden mulighed er, at det betyder 'ford hyppigt besøgt af vilde dyr'.
