Mullaghmeen er kun 258 m høj, men er alligevel den højeste højderyg i County Westmeath i Irland.
Området er i de seneste år blevet plantet hovedsageligt med bøge af den irske skovmyndighed Coillte og er dermed den største beplantede bøgeskov i Irland. Derudover findes der særligt Sitka-sycamore og ædelgran, men også indfødte træsorter.
Der er anlagt vandrestier, så man mange steder har smukke udsigter over det nærliggende County Cavan og Lough Sheelin.
