Hallingdal er en dal såvel som et traditionelt område beliggende i det traditionelle og valgområde Buskerud i Viken amt i Norge. Det består af seks kommuner: Flå, Nes, Gol, Hemsedal, Ål og Hol.
Hallingdal er en af de største dale i det østlige Norge, på et areal af 5.830 kvadratkilometer. Hallingdal ligger i den nordlige del af Buskerud amt. Dalen strækker sig fra Gulsvik ved søen Krøderen til grænsen med Hordaland og Sogn og Fjordane. Centralt i geografi er et relativt fladt bjergområde, som ligger 700–1.100 m over havets overflade. Dalen er V-formet og drænes af Hallingdal Å, som udspringer i de vestlige dele af Hardangervidda og flyder mod øst og senere syd gennem Hallingdal.
