Der Donnerblatt (Sempervivum tectorum), auch Hauswurz genannt, fand man früher auf allen niedrigen Gebäuden der Bauernhöfe hier. Laut Volksglauben bietet es Schutz gegen den Blitz und die Blätter sollen auch ein Heilmittel gegen Halsschmerzen sein. In Deutschland wird diese Pflanze an einigen Orten Donatuswurz genannt, in Anspielung auf den Donnerheiligen Donatus, dessen Verehrung 1652 in Deutschland entstand und der seit 1860 in der Pfarrkirche zu Poesele verehrt wird.
