Die 'Engelbamp' ist ein historischer Straßenverlauf und Hohlweg. Dieser Weg ist auf historischen Karten aus dem 17. Jahrhundert verzeichnet, stammt wahrscheinlich jedoch aus der frühen Mittelalter. Er soll in der frühen Mittelalter in Verlängerung einer römischen Straße von Huy über Landen-Velm und Sint-Truiden angelegt worden sein. Entlang dieses Tracés errichtete die Abtei von Sint-Truiden ihren Landsitz und den Hof Nieuwenhoven. Hier findest du auch einen Aussichtspunkt auf der Schulter des Hohlwegs, von dem aus du die Skyline von Sint-Truiden bewundern kannst.
