Die Route führt uns weiter zur alten Mühle auf dem Molenberg. „Bis 2020 gab es hier nur eine verwitterte Ruine“, erzählt Pieter. „Auch diese Windmühle wurde im Ersten Weltkrieg in Brand gesteckt.“ Inzwischen sorgten die notwendigen Konsolidierungsarbeiten für ihren Erhalt. „Es ist immer noch eine Ruine, aber eine, die sich nicht weiter verschlechtern kann.“ An jedem ersten Sonntag im Monat kann sie besichtigt werden. „Achten Sie unbedingt auf die besondere doppelte Helixtreppe“, fügt er hinzu. „Eine solche Treppe findet man unter anderem im Vatikan.“
