Die Kalvarie auf dem ehemaligen Friedhof von Herselt wurde 1914 von der Firma Janssens aus Westmeerbeek errichtet. Diese Firma war auf Konstruktionen aus Betonrustika spezialisiert, bei denen sie mit Ziegelsteinen und Beton Felsformationen und Monumente nachahmte. Sie war sehr bekannt und realisierte Lourdesgrotten und religiöse Monumente in ganz Belgien und weit darüber hinaus. Von der groß angelegten Kalvariengruppe aus 1914 bleibt derzeit noch das Mittelstück, das ab dem Frühjahr 2020 im Auftrag der Kirchengemeinde St. Servatius Herselt restauriert wird.
