La Grande Fontaine hat das ganze Jahr über eine sehr konstante Strömung (40–70 l/s) , unabhängig von den klimatischen Bedingungen.
Die baufällige Bauweise und die Tatsache, dass der Ruisseau de La Fontaine Saint Hadelin weiter flussaufwärts eine sehr unregelmäßige Strömung aufweist, lassen darauf schließen, dass sich hier bis zur Wasserversorgung des Dorfes im Jahr 1952 der Waschplatz befunden hat.
