Rheinfelden ist eine Stadt im Südwesten Baden-Württembergs unmittelbar an der Schweizer Grenze. Sie ist nach Lörrach die zweitgrößte Stadt des Landkreises Lörrach und ein Mittelzentrum für die umliegenden Gemeinden. Die Stadt ist geschichtlich, wirtschaftlich und gesellschaftlich eng mit der Schweizer Stadt Rheinfelden auf der gegenüberliegenden Rheinseite verbunden.
